The domain

My first domain was Minhea.com: I bought it from the italian society Aruba on 28th October 2004.
But the name annoyed me very soon, because I wanted something different and more original and I wasn't satisfied with the service and the features purchased by Aruba.
Besides I wanted subdomains and more database space.

So 3 months later I bought this domain and hosting from the american society TotalChoice Hosting, which offers a great service at low price and is very fast to solve any trouble.
This new domain is online since 20th January 2005. I love the name I chose: I like simple names, easy to remember, so I thought ShinyDust.net should have fit perfectly for my collective/domain.
It reminds me of something magic, delicate as powder, soothing and shining, plus I adore sparkling objects!

This layout

It's the 8th one, completely XHTML and CSS validated.
It features 2 photos of the wonderful Heian Jingu in Kyoto, from my third journey in Japan on October 2007. The left pic has been taken by me, while the right one by my boyfriend Takuma.

I chose these pictures in particular because I think they're the best we shot, and I wanted a layout on relaxing green tones. Moreover Kyoto is my favourite city in Japan and I have a beautiful memory of that temple.
I'm quite tired of blends and heavy graphics full of brushes, fonts and effects. I want simplicity, as I think my new clean/neat style is much better and more professional than the past one.

The japanese phrase in the graphic is read: "Kokoro wo nani ni tatoeyou, sora wo mau youna kanashisa wo...", and literally means: "What can I compare this feeling to, I feel sad like wheeling in the sky...". It's a quote from Teru no Uta (Song of Teru), sang by Aoi Teshima and soundtrack of Gedo Senki (Tales from Earthsea) animation movie, by Ghibli Studio. You can listen to the song and watch the videoclip here.
